'Babies' Part 2: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the Netflix docuseries

Part 1 of 'Babies' dropped on Netflix on February 21, 2020, with six amazing episodes and accumulated quite a fan base. While most expected Part 2 to be released in 2021, Netflix announced that Part 2 will be released this June. The docuseries explores how "science reveals how infants discover life during the very first year" and the mystery behind the mind of babies, how they make connections, and how they adapt to their surroundings - all in their first year of life. The series has a scientific approach to the topic of tiny humans, and we're taken behind the science of baby brains.  Here is what we know of its upcoming release.

Part 2 of 'Babies' premieres on June 19, 2020.

Plot

According to Netflix, ‘Babies’ is about “following the life-changing adventures of 15 international families and featuring the latest research from eminent scientists who share their personal journeys of discovery into the infant mind, the series is filled with the exciting uncertainty of parenting, exploring each major milestone of development like never before.” Season 2 will chronicle how science looks at baby brains and account for all the wonder, what they find, and what it means to the child."

The docuseries shows us the science behind the new things babies learn in their first year, such as sitting, crawling and walking. Viewers see babies from different families go through their developmental stages as scientists speak on their views of what they uncover in an infant's mind. The first season has managed to bring moms of all kinds together  - first-time moms and experienced moms- shedding light on minds of children across many different families. In short, it's the mind of babies explained, as we see the tiny humans mature and evolve in their first 12 months of life. 

Cast

The stars of this docuseries are the tiny infants. 

Pascal Wallisch will also be commenting. He is known for his work in 'It's Personal with Amy Hoggart' and 'Fox and Friends.' His twitter bio states he is a professor, neuroscientist, author and science educator at the Center for Neural Science, NYU.
