Axel Foster: 4-yr-old Oklahoma boy's arm RIPPED OFF by grandmom's pit bull
An entire arm of a little boy was ripped off by a pit bull as he tried to pet puppies. The incident happened in Tecumseh, near Oklahoma City, on Friday night, December 10, when Axel Foster was at his grandparents’ home. Soon emergency services reached the location to help the little one.
According to reports, as first aid, a tourniquet was applied on Foster’s horrifying wound on his right side before he was taken to the hospital. Chief JR Kidney, from the Tecumseh Police Department, told KFOR, “I've seen dog bites in the past and experienced some pretty brutal dog bites with children but never a complete amputation. The child's arm was still in the pen. When officers and animal control attempted to retrieve the arm, the dog became aggressive to them.”

Officer Aaron McCormick said: “I could see the arm inside, and one of the puppies was trying to chew on it.” Kidney added that the dog was shot to death after he viciously attacked the child.
Foster’s mother Destiny McDow said, “We raced to the hospital. When we got there, the nurses confirmed his arm was dismembered from his body. I don't know what he's going through. I never went through it. But he's only a child.” It has been said that doctors attempted to join the ripped-off arm to the kid’s body, but they failed.
The devastated mother has now set up a GoFundMe to raise funds for Foster’s treatment. Describing him as an "adventurous, smart, and bubble young four year old,” she said he was “placed in his father's care. An incident happened while in his care, which caused him to be taken and placed in his grandfather's care, on his father's side, as a safety plan. A few days after this incident he was placed back into his father's care with daily check ups by his grandfather. While his mother, myself, was exercising her rights to see him on 12-10-21, after an hour of the father being uncooperative, and unresponsive she had a sudden feeling of concern overwhelmed her, so she then called her ex-husband case worker.”
She continued, “When she finally reached the case worker she was informed her son was brutally attacked, and his right arm was dismembered or dislocated, and was informed what hospital he was taken into. As she arrived at the hospital they had informed her that her FOUR YEAR OLD SONS ARM WAS DISMEMBERED, and he was in immediate surgery to reattach his arm to his shoulder. This happened while in the supervision/care of his father, his grandfather, and step-grandmother,” before adding: “He has undergone two surgeries, and is still fighting not only to keep his arm but his life. I am asking for help to save my baby boys life. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.”
The fundraiser has already received $3810 of its $5,500 goal. Meanwhile, authorities are probing the case to find if it was truly an accident or if it's a case of child neglect by grandparents. Chief Kidney noted: “To be over just an innocent type thing of wanting to pet some puppies, it's just devastating. What kind of Christmas is this child gonna have now? What kind of life, in general, is this child gonna have now? I'm hoping it was simply an accident that the child was able to get to the pen, but we will look at everything.”
