'Awkward': Woman mortified to hear ex's voice in labor room during childbirth
Pregnancy comes with its own set of insane challenges, headaches, and heartaches, but hopefully, celebration and love at the end of it all. It is a magical time, with plenty of joy and wonder, but also a lot of uncertainty and fear, and most importantly, mood swings.
While the experience of pregnancy and childbirth is as overwhelming as it can be, if there's one thing people don't want to be reminded of while delivering their babies, it's probably their exes. A TikToker has left social media in splits after she narrated her very awkward experience in the delivery room.

TikToker @madi_lane_. recounted a very awkward labor room experience in a video. The labor room in the hospital in question was crowded with patients when Maddy Cifelli and her significant other Cody were admitted. Thus, she had to share a room with another pregnant couple, who was also preparing to welcome a new baby.
In spite of the curtain separating them, Maddy realized that she was sharing a room with her ex-boyfriend and his wife from high school. Since she was deemed a high-risk pregnancy - her baby was due nearly 15 weeks early - this strange development only added to her stress.
Maddy said, "The hospital had been extremely busy. There was a lot of traffic in the emergency room, and labor and delivery were very busy. We got a room and it was great at first. The last time I was here I had to share a room with someone and it was a miserable experience because she just kept yelling." She continued, "After they arrived, we made eye contact. Fortunately, we were separated by a curtain, but it was so awkward. I just couldn't talk."

"That’s when you say “I haven’t seen you in 9 months,”" replied one TikTok user. There were others who had some awkward stories of their own. A user commented, “My brother’s current gf and ex gave birth in the same hospitals 2 doors apart on the same day. He was the dad to both," while another wrote “Chandler, Monica and Janice vibes.”
