'Avengers: Endgame' new trailer: Easter eggs and everything else you missed

We are a mere two months away from one of the biggest superhero events of the year – the release of 'Avengers: Endgame' and the gods at Marvel Studios have paid heed to our prayers and blessed us with a brand new trailer. This particular one, featuring all the superheroes that weren’t turned into dust by Thanos (Josh Brolin), focusses on our heroes building up hope and fighting on, despite everything they have lost.

The excitement of finally getting to see this new trailer had us quite distracted from all the things that were going on, especially since Marvel Studios has tried to keep the trailer as cryptic and spoiler-free as they can. This is why, after careful examination and repeated observation, we have compiled Easter Eggs and everything else you may have missed from the latest Marvel video.

A goodbye to the OG Avengers

The theme of this trailer seems to be "starting over", not just for the remaining superheroes that are starting over after Thanos wreaked havoc, but also for the franchise that is starting over by entering a new phase with a new army of superheroes. We get a refresher on the origin story of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth), almost as if Marvel was compiling the most important moments from their lives to say goodbye.

It seems pretty evident that all three of them, and possibly even Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) would be saying goodbye to the Marvel Cinematic Universe post 'Endgame'.

Everyone has new matching white, sleek suits

Cap is the first one we see in the brand new suit – seeing as he is the de-facto leader – and it catches our attention because the white suit is strikingly different from his usual red, white and blue all-American avatar. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Col. Rhodes (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Iron Man all follow suit – no pun intended – looking grave and somber.

This leads us to believe that after being stranded in space for who knows how many years, Tony is back on Earth and ready to fight for what is right. The fact that he has reunited with Cap, means that they are at least civil, if not friends.

Before we stray too much from the point, the suits are meant to serve a bigger purpose than just look chic. In fact, they may become the center of the plotline for the movie. Speculations suggest that these suits may be instrumental for our heroes to travel through time and save their fallen brothers in arms. For what they're worth, the suits look similar enough to Scott’s Ant-Man suit, and the red patches on them could be the key in the time travel adventure.

Captain Marvel joins Avengers

The most surprising and spoiler-worthy part about the trailer was the end scene where Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Thor non-verbally decide to join the war to reverse time. Of the 14,000,605 outcomes that the war against Thanos would result in, there is only one in which the Avengers can save the world, revealed Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and it seems that particular one would involve the addition of Captain Marvel, who made her debut in the MCU last week.

This trailer has made it all the most impossible to wait for 'Avengers: Endgame', and you bet we will in theatres on April 26 find out if the band of superheroes is enough to defeat Thanos and reverse the fates of their friends.
