AUSTIN, TEXAS: The fiancé of a Texas woman who went missing five days ago along with the couple's two-week-old daughter is asking the public for help to find the mother and child.

Shane Carey had reported his fiancée, Heidi Broussard, 33, and their infant baby missing on Thursday, December 12, evening. Carey spoke to KTBC and shared that he was feeling extremely helpless. "That’s the worst feeling in the world. Not knowing what to do is the hardest part. I don’t know where she’s at, I don’t know if she is suffering. I just want to do more. It feels like we could do more," Carey shared.

He has issued multiple pleas for the pair's return in tearful TV interviews and says he believes she would have not left of her own accord.

As reported by People, he described Broussard as 'beautiful' and 'loving' and also called the circumstances surrounding her disappearance 'weird'. "She’s a great mom, she needs to be back," he revealed before describing his infant daughter Margot as "the sweetest… she has the cutest little pucker lips… gorgeous little baby."

As per the Austin police, the mother and child had been reported missing late on Thursday from their home. Carey shared that he had last spoken to his fiancée on Thursday morning after 8 am. Broussard was last seen at 7.30 am dropping off her son, 6, at Cowan Elementary School in Austin. A surveillance image released by police showed the mother dressed in a purple shirt on the campus about 20 minutes later. When Carey returned from work at 2 pm, he found Broussard's car in the driveway with her purse still in the car.

According to Carey, he found the baby's car seat and Broussard's keys inside and didn't think much of it as he thought she was at a friend's house. Later his son's school called saying Broussard hadn't picked Silas up, so he went to get the boy himself. He returned home and found the mother and daughter still missing. After a few hours passed, he was still unable to reach her phone and started to call her friends who also had not heard from her and several hours later he called the police.

She has been described as 5′ 3″ and weighs 150 pounds. She has long dark brown hair with highlights. The newborn weighs around 7 pounds and 7 ounces. She is 22 inches long. He is asking anyone with any information to call 911.

Ty Carey, Shane's father has set up a Facebook page to raise money for a reward and for 'expenses [Shane's] incurring during the search'. The page has raised $1,400 toward its $10,000 goal by early Monday. The father also said that the family had hired a private investigator to look into the case.
