August Alsina opened up about his relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith in a new tell-all interview where he said he still loved her and that she had "transformed" him and "brought out the king" in him. Alsina, 27, had famously told Breakfast Club's' Angela Yee that Will Smith had given him his "blessing" to have an affair with his wife Jada and that it had been life-changing. "I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really, deeply loved and have a ton of love for her (Jada)," he said. "I devoted myself to it. I gave my full self to it. So much so that I can die right now, and be OK knowing that I fully gave myself to somebody... Some people never get that in this lifetime."

While Will and Jada initially denied the fling had taken place, they admitted to it during a dramatic episode of 'Red Table Talk' where they shared that it had happened during a difficult time in their relationship and marriage.

Speaking to Lil Wayne on the season finale of 'Young Money Radio' on Apple Music, Alsina further expanded on how his relationship with Jada had had such an enormous impact on his life and of the backlash he had gotten over it.

Asked by Lil Wayne if he still loved Jada, Alsina responded, "Absolutely. I feel like when you experience a certain type of experience on this planet and you experience a certain type of love, you, I'll always, I will always have love for her as a person... Real talk though. Real talk."

"The experience really did help to transform me and really bring out the king in me," he continued. "But as for what people may say or whatever, or if it's looking like I might, I'm doing something for attention. Absolutely not... I mean, what's perplexing to me is that I never think it's anybody's business to know my business. And my personal business. But, when my personal business starts to affect my lifestyle and my livelihood, like I lost partnerships and deals behind that situation. Because it looked to the world as if August Alsina was some reckless New Orleans n**** that I'm just pushing up on somebody's wife. And because they didn't have the truth, those things happened and transpired"

The rapper went on to explain the timing of his revelation. "Why am I talking about it now? I mean, I could have spoken about this at any point in my life," he said. "But when my sister died, it was something that I decided to remove myself from. Because of the complexities of it. And I never want to be the person to cause confusion for anybody in their life."

"But yeah, I couldn't continue to walk around elephants in the room. And for it to be said that it was okay several years ago, that was what? I think my homie was just telling me that was not even a full two years ago when I dipped from that situation."

He then defended Jada and insisted she did not "prey" on him. "Here's the deal, man, nobody's wrong here. You know what I'm saying? Nobody's a bad person. She didn't prey on me, or whatever that people are saying. Real talk though, love is complex and it's not as simple as people make it out to be... It is difficult and complex conversations to have."
