'Atypical' Season 3: Casey-Izzie, Sam-Paige and Doug-Elsa love stories promise to take the front seat when Netflix show returns
After a long, long wait, Season 3 of 'Atypical' is coming to Netflix on November 1 and we have many wishes to demand of the writers, especially when it pertains to the three couples of the show. Soon after announcing the release date for Season 3, the official social media page for 'Atypical' also released three photos featuring Sam (Keir Gilchrist) and Paige (Jenna Boyd), Casey (Brigette Lundy-Paine) and Izzie (Fivel Stewart), and Elsa (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and Doug (Michael Rapaport).
From these first-look photos, it's abundantly clear that the show will focus on their love stories or breakup stories. In the case of Doug and Elsa especially, we believe that it would take a lot for them to stay together, if at all. There are just too many misunderstandings at this point, not to mention Elsa cheating, and now Doug too has seemingly made the decision to get even with his wife.
With both their children grown up, they may even have lost that as a reason to stay together. For all we know, Season 3 may end with them deciding to part ways, but we sure hope that is not the case with the other two couples, especially Casey and Izzie, whose story has barely begun.

Casey and Izzie clearly have feelings for each other but are hesitant to admit it, at least for now. Season 2 did end with a lovely moment with both of them in the car holding hands. Their love story is going to epic, for many reasons, starting with the fact that their hate-turned-love relationship is one for romantic ballads.
Sam and Paige's relationship will also be an interesting and heartwarming one, especially after he told her he loves her, in the most matter-of-fact way. They are both heading to college this year, and it remains to be seen how that will affect their relationship. You can watch it all when 'Atypical' premieres on Netflix on Friday, November 1.
