In the aftermath of the tragic Astroworld concert, Travis Scott has offered to pay the funeral expenses of the eight victims of the deadly stampede. Scott recently announced that he has partnered with BetterHelp to provide free therapy for people impacted by the event.

At least eight people died and several others injured when chaos broke out at Travis Scott's Astroworld music festival in Houston, Texas, on Friday night, November 5. Video footage of the festival is being widely circulated on social media, showing a stampede of fans breaking through a fence. The videos also show people attending the festival dancing on ambulances.

Following the tragedy, over a dozen lawsuits have been filed in Harris County against Scott and Live Nation Entertainment. The lawsuits have claimed that Scott kept singing for more than 30 minutes despite numerous deaths, injuries, and with fans pleading for the show to be stopped. Over 10,000 people have also signed a petition in an attempt to block Scott from performing as a headliner at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in California next April.

Among various people suing Scott and festival organizers is the family of 21-year-old Axel Acosta, who said that he had the “life squeezed out of” him and was then “trampled on like a piece of trash”. At least two criminal investigations are also underway into the tragic stampede.

However, despite the lawsuits and complaints, a video that has surfaced on social media shows Travis Scott urging security guards to help a fan who collapsed during the Astroworld concert that killed eight people. The video shows Scott halting the concert in Houston, Texas, to ask the security for help after the fan seemed to be in trouble. "Somebody help him, somebody has passed out right here!" Scott is heard telling someone. "Don't touch him, don't touch him. Everybody just back up. Security, jump in real quick. Somebody jump in. Come on, come on!"

Many took to social media to slam Travis Scott for offering to pay for the funerals when he, as they believe, did not do enough to save his fans in the first place. "#TravisScott has a history of acting irresponsibly when it comes to the public's safety. I don't believe any city should allow him to perform. How generous of him to offer to pay for the funerals. A true role model," one user wrote. "Travis Scott be like “sorry I ain’t really regard your kids safety, but here I’ll pay for the funeral.” Like that’s supposed to make it all better!" said another user.

"You are going to do more than pay for a funeral #TravisScott these people think money can fix everything but people loss their babies and I don't think that money can fix that," one user wrote, while another said, "It doesn’t matter what Travis Scott does 8 people should have never died. There shouldn’t be a reason for him to pay any type of funeral costs wtf. There shouldn’t even be funerals to begin with. Money isn’t gonna bring those souls back. Stupid dick riders."

Meanwhile, Travis Scott, who was set to perform at this weekend’s Day N Vegas Festival, has decided not to appear for the show following the Astroworld tragedy where eight people died. The Day N Vegas Festival was scheduled to take place on November 13 at Las Vegas Festival Grounds. At the same time, Scott has also revealed that he will provide full refunds for all attendees who bought tickets to Astroworld, sources have claimed.
