Actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly loaned his car to Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg so she can drive to Canada for a march against climate change.

Thunberg, while appearing on a Scandinavian talk show 'Skavlan' filmed in New York this week, said that the offer made by Schwarzenegger was "one of the funniest" she had received.

"A lot of people have offered to lend us, for example, their electric car," the activist said. " One of the funniest offers I've received is that Arnold Schwarzenegger has offered to lend his electric car if I want to."

The show also confirmed that the 16-year-old climate activist and her father will take the Hollywood movie star's car to Montreal, Canada.

Thunberg, who is set to protest in Montreal on Friday, has been avoiding flights on her recent travels. She had recently traveled in a zero-carbon emissions sailing boat, completing a 15-day voyage from Britain to take part in a UN climate summit in New York earlier this week.

Thunberg slammed world leaders in her speech on Monday, September 23, saying: "This is all wrong. I shouldn't be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean."

"Yet, you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you? You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words. And yet I'm one of the lucky ones," she said in an emotional speech. Her now world-famous 'death stare' at Trump has also gone viral.

She went on to criticize politicians for talking about "money and fairytales of eternal economic growth" while the environment suffered.

Shortly after her speech at the UN, some conservatives attacked the teenager, with conservative pundit Michael Knowles calling her a "mentally ill Swedish child" during a segment on Fox News. The network, however, promptly issued an apology over the controversial remarks.

Trump also appeared to mock Thunberg as he commented on her speech on Twitter saying: "She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!"

Soon after Trump's tweet, Thunberg decided to troll the president by briefly changing her Twitter description to: "A very happy girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future."
