What is Armie Hammer's net worth? Blockbuster films to lavish homes, inside actor's fortune amid rape claims
Armie Hammer, who is facing sexual assault allegations, made his big-screen debut in the 2006 film 'Flicka' and went on to do several major films that helped him amass a fortune. Hammer became a household name after his role as the identical twins, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, in David Fincher's 2010 movie 'The Social Network'.
During a press conference with attorney Gloria Allred on Thursday, March 18, a woman named Effie accused 'Call Me By Your Name' actor Armie Hammer of rape. The LAPD confirmed that Hammer is a suspect in a sexual assault case that was opened on February 3, 2021. "On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles," said Effie, who did not offer her full name but was described by Allred as a "24-year-old woman who lives in Europe". During the time of the alleged rape, Effie says Hammer repeatedly slammed her head against a wall resulting in bruises to her face, and "committed other acts of violence against me, to which I did not consent." The latter included beating her feet with a riding crop, she said. "During those four hours, I tried to get away but he wouldn't let me. I thought he was going to kill me. Then [he] left with no concern for my well-being," said Effie. Read more on the incident here.
Amid all the allegations and controversies, here's a look at his fortune, real estate and wealth.

What is Armie Hammer's net worth?
As of 2020, Hammer has allegedly accumulated a net worth of $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Hammer made his big-screen debut in the 2006 film 'Flicka'. Hammer became a household name after his role as the identical twins, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, in David Fincher's 2010 movie 'The Social Network'. The film grossed $224.9 million at the box office and earned an Oscar nomination for Best Motion Picture of the Year.
Speaking on 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' in October 2020, Hammer said why he acted in 2012 film 'Mirror Mirror'. "Never seen it, never seen it, but..." Corden said as he motioned his hands to show it was purely a money decision. Hammer agreed the film was not his best work, "Never have I, to be honest, and that was the thing. And by the way, you pay for every cent. You pay for every single cent," the actor added.
He also said that he got paid "nothing" for the 2017 film, 'Call Me By Your Name', but 'Mirror Mirror' was the real moneymaker. Corden then said, "One for them, one for the bank," as he asked Hammer how much money he made for Mirror Mirror. After a long pause, the actor said, "I can tell you it was well over 15 times what I got paid for 'Call Me By Your Name'."
Hammer's paternal great-grandfather was oil industrialist Armand Hammer. Armand got Occidental Petroleum using his wife's family money in 1957. He ran the company until his death in 1990. Today, Occidental Petroleum is still a publicly-traded company with a market capital of around $10 billion. At the time of his death, Armand's net worth had been as high as $800 million. That's the same as around $1.6 billion today after adjusting for inflation. Other reports would later allege the fortune was significantly smaller. Armand died in December 1990.
In 2019, Hammer spent $4.7 million for a 6,275 square foot home in L.A.'s Hancock Park neighborhood. He put the seven-bedroom mansion on the market for $5.8 million in September 2020.
