Arkansas McDonald's shooting: 1 dead, 1 injured in gunfire incident at drive-through

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Gunfire erupted at a McDonald's left one person dead and another injured, reports cited. Officers responded to the reports of shooting at a McDonald's in North Little Rock after 6.30 am on Tuesday, September 21. The person injured is said to be in "serious condition". The incident took place on McCain Blvd.

Officers arrived at the scene to find one deceased and one person suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Another person was found unharmed on the scene. In a similar incident reported in April 2021, a seven-year-old girl was killed and her father, 29, suffered injuries while sitting inside their car during a McDonald's drive-through shooting in Homan Square, Chicago. In March, a Tennessee woman opened fire at the employees of a drive-through Burger King over 'long wait time'.

According to reports, the victims were shot while sitting in a black sedan. The deceased is said to have been the car's driver. The names of the victims were not immediately released. The North Little Rock Police Department is currently investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made so far. No information on the suspect was immediately available. 

NLRPD have asked anyone with any information regarding the incident to contact the police. "NLRPD is currently investigating a shooting at 4008 McCain Blvd (McDonalds). Please avoid the area. Anyone with information concerning this incident can call our tip-line at 680-8439, " a statement by the North Little Rock Police Department read.
