After months arranging their wedding Aric Hutchinson leaves hospital to arrange wife Samantha's funeral
FOLLY BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA: After spending more than a week in a hospital recuperating from life-threatening injuries, Aric Hutchinson, 36, has been discharged and is now planning his wife, 34-year-old Samantha's funeral at home. Hutchinson sustained grievous injures while Samantha died after the golf cart they were in was hit by 25-year-old Jamie Komoroski, on April 28 in Folly Beach, South Carolina, as they were leaving after their wedding reception.
In the accident, both of Hutchinson's legs were fractured and he needed surgery to fix one of them. He also had to undergo surgery to fix the shattered bones in his face. His other injuries included damaged vertebrae in his back, brain hemorrhage and several injuries that had to be sutured, as reported by Mirror.

'She could light up a room'
Hutchinson is recovering at home now. His mother, Annette, said that he was reportedly planning his wife's funeral after spending months organizing their ideal wedding. She wrote on their GoFundMe page, "We are missing Sam more than anything. She instantly fit into our family from the first day Aric and Sam met, she was everything to my son and changed him for the better. She could light up a room with her presence and had an ease about her."
The page further added, "They shared many hopes and dreams for their future, including children and building a house. He is physically recovering at home while trying to come to terms with the loss of his beautiful wife. Now he is doing the unimaginable of planning Sam's funeral along with her family."
What did Jamie Komoroski do?
Komoroski was in a rented Toyota Camry and was speeding on a poorly illuminated residential street when she crashed into Hutchinson and Samantha, per the Daily Mail. She was reportedly driving at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone.
Komoroski, who was unharmed in the collision, said that she had a beer and a tequila shot before driving. She also gave herself an eight on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being sober) when asked about how drunk she was, as per reports.
Komoroski "strongly refused" to take a sobriety test at the scene of the collision, according to the police. However, a judge ordered that Komoroski's blood be drawn to check her alcohol levels on the day of the accident.
