Are Khalil Haughton and Airi a perfect match? 'Love and Translation' star regrets not choosing TLC contestant for date
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, CARIBBEAN: 'Love and Translation' Season 1 stars Khalil Haughton, Dylan Hodge, and Tripp Bromley chose women for their first date after spending two minutes staring at each other. Khalil wanted to choose Airi but shared that he might have failed to impress her during the 'awkward' staring challenge.
Khalil chose Jhenyfer for his first but instantly regretted his decision as he struggled to communicate with her. After he returned from his date, Khalil spent time with Airi and felt they were perfect for each other.
Khalil felt a special connection with Airi and claimed that he could communicate with her without knowing her language. The TLC show star admitted in the confessional, "After my day with Jhenyfer, I'm definitely thinking Airi was more of my speed."
He added, "Airi is definitely setting out to me." He then claimed in the confessional that he regretted his decision to not take Airi on the first date and said, "I mean she was the one that I almost felt like I should have taken her on the first date."
Airi wants to make other 'Love and Translation' women jealous
Airi and Khalil Haughton had a great time in the villa in front of other 'Love and Translation' contestants. The duo seemed to be smitten by one another.
Dylan asked Airi if he could hold her hands and the contestant agreed while admitting in the confessional that she wanted to make other women in the villa jealous.
However, Airi also shared that holding hands could be more easier than making eye contact. Meanwhile, Khalil found a 'second opportunity' to impress Airi and he didn't want to mess things up.
He shared, "Right now me and Airi are having a great time... you know she's cute, she's bubbly, we're giggling having a great time just enjoying each other's company." He added, "I mean Aire makes me laugh."
Khalil explained about his connection, "You know we communicate even though we really can't but there's ways we can talk that we feel easy and natural. I think something really special happening between us."
Did Khalil Haughton spark a connection with Jhenyfer?
Khalil Haughton and Jhenyfer went on a one-on-one date but found it hard to communicate with each other. Kahlil and Jhenyfer relaxed next to a lake and attempted to have a conversation but soon found out that they were not on the same page.
Khalil tried to ask Jhenyfer if she was looking for marriage during her time in the competition. The TLC show contestant appeared to be puzzled but after she understood the question, she noted that she was absolutely not looking to get a husband.
She noted that would not get married soon as they had only recently met each other. She added in the confessional that she didn't feel a connection with Khalil and didn't want him to be her boyfriend either.
She shared, "The connection I am feeling with him is the same as the one I felt on the activity of staring into each other's eyes which is a friend connection and not a love connection."
