Tate's comment claimed that a woman's level of innocence is inversely correlated with the number of previous partners she has had, suggesting that fewer past relationships lead to a more radiant and appealing demeanor.

This assertion was coupled with his belief that such women are scarce in number, contributing to the overall provocative nature of his statement.

Tate wrote, "Less bodies she’s had the more her eyes sparkle. Few."
