'And Just Like That' Episode 1: Fans left devastated after Mr Big gets killed off

Episode 2 of 'And Just Like That' kicks off with Miranda Hobbes, and her husband chit-chatting before going to bed, about their son being too loud with his girlfriend in the next room; they share a wall. So to say, it's a rather normal day in the lives of the Hobbes' but one call on their landline changes everything.

Because that one call is all it took for Miranda to drop everything and head over to Carrie's. She learned that Big died due to a heart attack, and even though she herself had so many questions, Miranda found it in her heart to be there for Carrie in her time of need. Without a moment's thought, she stays the night with Carrie and also offers to take some time off work.

Similarly, Charolotte tags along with Carrie while picking a place for the funeral reception, whilst also taking a call on the most minute details that comes with a memorial service. Although Charlotte is a tad too emotional and tends to cry almost every chance she gets, she is firm to stand her ground when she advices Carrie not to blame herself for Big's death, as she had been doing all the while till now.

Charlotte and Miranda also take turns to spend the night with Carrie, so that she's not alone. Miranda even rubs Carrie's lower back like Big used to. The girls try their best to make sure Carrie is able to sleep, eat and just about function normally, but of course, this in itself is a far cry for her. Grief takes time to both accept and live with, and the initial loss is just about a mere scratch on one's heart.

Two episodes of 'And Just Like That' are available to stream on HBO Max, with more to follow weekly.
