What was Ana Walshe’s net worth? Brian’s internet history reveals he was eyeing her property portfolio
COHASSET, MASSACHUSETTS: A few of the Google searches that Brian Walshe, who has been charged with murder, misleading the police and improper transport or handling of human remains in the presumed death of his wife, Ana, made in the days before and after he allegedly killed his wife included, “How long for someone to be missing to inherit?”
According to CNN, prosecutor Lynn Beland read the disturbing Google searches, made between January 1 and 4, in court on Wednesday, January 18. Misty Marris, a defense attorney, said that they “really gave investigators a blueprint of what to look for and where to look,” adding, "The story is really coming together, and those Google searches, they were essential to putting together the pieces."

Ana reportedly had a $2.8M property empire before she went missing and has been associated with eight properties in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Massachusetts since 2018. Among them, she had sold four and owned four at the time she went missing, according to the New York Post. The outlet further stated that on December 29, 2022, Ana closed a deal on an apartment in Revere, Massachusetts, which she sold for $220,000, over 50% more than the $137,000 she bought it for in 2020. Commenting on the sale, former tenants of that property, Mike and Mandi Silva, reportedly said how they were hurried out of the property, and that it was "sold without them being properly informed after they had rented it for four years."
In March 2022, Ana sold a million-dollar house that she owned in Massachusetts and bought a house in DC within a similar price range. The house she owned, with five bedrooms and four bathrooms, in Cohasset was sold for $1.385M in 2022. She used the money to buy a $1.3M mansion in Chevy Chase. The house has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two half bathrooms and a newly renovated kitchen. Records showed she co-owned the house with an investor other than her husband. As per New York Post, Ana also owns two investment properties in Lynn, Massachusetts, which she bought in 2018 for $135,000 and $139,900.
