Conservative author and political commentator Candace Owens rushed to defend President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett on Saturday, September 26, after social media users launched an attack on Barrett and the two children she adopted from Haiti.

As soon as Trump's decision of choosing Barrett came to light, the Democrats started slamming her and even questioned the legitimacy of the children's adoption. But in no time, tables turned around when people started slamming the Democrats for attacking Barrett. Owens also came in support of Trump's decision and tweeted, "Amy Coney Barrett: -She’s a woman, so they can’t hire their usual fake sexual assault victims. -She has two black children, so they can’t smear her as a racist. Taking early bets as to what the Democrats will cook up to try to stop ACB..."

Soon more and more people started coming in support of Owens' tweet. A user said, "I am connected and taking in every tiny bitty momentous, historic and life-changing moment. As a Catholic woman, attorney, theologian, EWTN TV and radio host, evangelist, wife and mother, I could not be happier and prouder! My heart is about to explode." While another commented, "ACB: brilliant, attractive, successful, mother of 7, devout Roman Catholic, two adopted children from Haiti, carpool mom, patriot, Constitutionalist, humble. Yup. The Left absolutely hates her."

One suggested: "Let’s NOT question ACB on: - Being Catholic - Having a large family - Adopting two children from Haiti - Being a working mother Let’s question her on: - People of Praise - Roe v Wade and the ACA - Accepting an SC nom 38 days before an election the President is expected to lose." And some called the Lefts "unhappy". "Her adoptive children’s lives are exquisite compared to their counterparts in Haiti. The people finding criticism with ACB for this are obviously deeply unhappy," said a user.

Some users drew comparisons between Barrett and Hillary Clinton and said, "Hillary robbed villages from Haiti, while Amy Barrett adopted them. Someone is panicking!" and "#Clintons robbed aid $ from poor Haitians. #AmyConeyBarrett adopts two poor children from Haiti and raises them as her kid and shows them the path to prosperity. In this world, There are givers and takers. You know who is who. #Trump2020 #LiberalismIsAMentalDisorder."

And one user sacastically wrote, "Unbelievable that she would take two young children from that tropical paradise for her own benefit!!! It's been difficult, but I'm trying to start a petition to send those poor souls back to Haiti, so they can enjoy the childhood they were deprived of!!! #ACBisWhite."
