He made the announcement in a speech slamming President Joe Biden. "I order to make America great and glorious again, I am today announcing my candidacy for president of the United States," he said.
He promised he would make his run about working people and restoring American energy independence. He also vowed to reform elections to ensure there are "only paper ballots". "This will not be my campaign. This will be our campaign all together.
