'America's Got Talent' may be in its sixteenth season but the show has not lost its touch when it comes to hand-picking talent. This year too, the showrunners have that ensured some of the best performers entertain the celebrity judges and the ever-enthusiastic live audience.

This week, the episode featured an impressive roster of talent, which included a dance troupe who call themselves Beyond Belief Dance Company and is headlined by seven ladies. Beyond Belief Dance Company was founded by drag queen Alyssa Edwards. More on her in a bit.

Who is Alyssa Edwards?

She is a 'RuPaul's Drag Queen: All Stars' contestant from 2016 who finished fourth and was recently seen in the Netflix documentary 'Dancing Queens.' She calls herself 'America's very own 'Texas-sized diva'. Originally named Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson, Edwards currentlyresides in Mesquite, Texas, out of where he runs his award-winning dance studio, which was also part of the said Netflix original, produced by RuPaul Charles and World of Wonder.

Edwards loves to document her every move not only on social media but also on a blog, in which she calls herself "an American entertainer, choreographer, drag performer, and television personality." But before she rose to fame, she was a dance instructor and performer in the draft circle. Her debut on the 'RPDR' made her a fan favorite quickly and there was no looking back from there.

"With personal appearances and tours spanning the globe, the Alyssa Edwards persona has quickly become a household name in many countries. Performing to fans throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Central and South America, Johnson balances his time between international bookings and teaching dance in his hometown," her site further read.
