'America's Got Talent' Season 16: Air time, how to live stream, and all you need to know about the NBC show

Long-running and revered show 'America's Got Talent' aired its Season 15 finale towards the end of September, where the spoken word poet Brandon Leakes took home the winners trophy. It's barely been two months since that and NBC has already announced that one of the most loved show's on their network has been renewed for Season 16 and will return to the screens soon. Here's all you need to know about the new season of the hit talent hunt show.

Release Date

'America's Got Talent' Season 16 was announced in February this year. The new season of this NBC reality competition series will premiere on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 8 pm ET.

'America's Got Talent' Season 16 will premiere on NBC on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 8 pm ET. For viewers who wish to tune in to the show without cable, they can do so using any of the following streaming services: Sling TV, fuboTV, Hulu With Live TV, AT&T TV or YouTube TV. 

Plot

On the air for 14 years and counting, the show has served as a stage for launching the careers of many performers who've dreamt of making it big in the world through showcasing their talents. The show sees a huge number of people turning up at the auditions, the best of which advance to the next levels till they reach the live shows after which the audiences decide who deserves to stay and who leaves the stage for good.

Terry Crews

Hosting the show for two seasons, Terry Crews has managed to catch the eye of the followers of this show as well as the makers. The actor (most famed role - NYPD lieutenant Terry Jeffords), comedian, activist, artist and former football player who was also named People magazine's 'Sexiest Tv Host' will be seen returning to 'AGT' for his third innings as a host on Season 16 of the show.  

Judges

Simon Cowell

The longest-running judge on the show, Simon Cowell is 'AGT' royalty. Not just that he's talent show judging panel royalty. The TV personality has in the past appeared as a music and talent judge on 'Pop Idol', 'The X Factor' (Both Britain and America), 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'American Idol'.
 
Howie Mandel

Howie Mandels dons many hats. A Comedian par excellence, a television personality, screenwriter, actor, voice actor, producer, director, entrepreneur, game show host, and a published author - Mandel has done it all. He's also been gracing the 'AGT' stage as a judge for many years, making him a long-running judge on the show, like Cowell. 

Heidi Klum

The German-American supermodel came to the show with judging history, previously on 'Germany's Next Top Model' and 'Project Runway' before stepping in to judge 'AGT'. 

Sofia Vergara

Fresh off a very successful finale series of 'Modern Family' Sofia became a judge of a talent competition for the first time on Season 15 and will be returning for Season 16. A pro-tip for participants, if you would like to impress her, please DO NOT bring the ukulele. She isn't a huge fan of the musical instrument, she claimed on an at-home episode of 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon'.
