Being named as the headlining act in Las Vegas and having a million dollars in the bank is every aspiring artist's dream. Sadly, the journey to this dream is anything but easy. But thanks to NBC's talent-hunt show 'America's Got Talent', this wild dream can very much become a reality for the winner of the competition. So, it shouldn't come as a surprise that every season, the hit NBC show attracts talented individuals with various unique talents from every corner of the globe, hoping to get their hands on the coveted prize!

Kansas City's Marcus Terell is no different. Blessed with a great set of vocals, Marcus alongside his longtime friends The Serenades, auditioned for 'AGT' during season 4. While the then judges -- Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and David Hasselhoff -- absolutely loved Marcus, they weren't very impressed with The Serenades. So, ahead of the quarter-finals round, Marcus had to make the difficult decision of either exiting the competition with his group of friends or continuing without them. Upon his friends' insistence, he chose the latter and made it to the quarterfinals, but his journey on the show ended shortly after. But it looks like Marcus is ready to give his dream yet another shot, as he will be auditioning for a spot in the talent hunt show in the upcoming episode of 'AGT' Season 17. Will Marcus be able to impress the 'AGT' judges or will his journey in the competition be cut short yet again? We will have to watch the show to get our answers, but in the meanwhile, you can read all about Marcus here.

Who is Lee Collinson? 'America's Got Talent' Season 17 star competed on British show 'Little Mix The Search'

Who is Marcus Terell?

Marcus is a singer and a dancer from Kansas City, Missouri. This talented performer is no stranger to the world of reality television, having auditioned for 'AGT' during the show's season 4. But before trying for 'AGT', Marcus appeared on 'American Idol' as well. He auditioned for 'American Idol' Season 3 and was eliminated during the Hollywood Round.

Marcus' stint on both the shows managed to grab eyeballs. For his 'American Idol' auditions, Marcus stood out from the crowd, thanks to his Elvis Presley costume. Dressed like the King of Rock n Roll, Marcus dubbed himself as "Darker Elvis" during the audition and managed to leave the judges both impressed and amused. As for 'AGT', Marcus teamed up with his friends who call themselves 'The Serenades'. The group which was known as Marcus Terell and The Serenades cruised through the audition round effortlessly, but as the competition moved forward, the judges felt that The Serenades weren't as talented as Marcus and decided to eliminate the vocal group. Marcus got very emotional leading to the group deciding to exit the competition voluntarily so that he could continue to be in the running. The judges and the audience were shocked by the drama that the vocal group managed to put on. But eventually, Marcus too was shown the door during the quarter-finals round.

Since exiting 'AGT' over a decade ago, Marcus reunited with The Serenades and continued to give performances at various events, broadway shows, and even cruises. Hopefully, Marcus and the group manage to make a better impression on the new 'AGT' judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum.
