‘American Idol’: Emyrson Flora hailed for stage presence, fans say she's ‘radio ready’

With a seamless performance, Emyrson Flora got a rare standing ovation from all the three judges and earned praises for her confidence

Emyrson Flora completely floored the judges and the live audience when she landed on the stage in the latest episode of ‘American Idol’ Season 20. The 16-year-old crooner performed for a spot on the top 20 list with the help of Miley Cyrus’ hit single ‘Angels Like You’. The TikTok star also managed to impress social media users as they felt her voice will be easily recognized on the radio.
 
With a seamless performance over the weekend, Emyrson Flora got the rare standing ovation from all the three judges. Katy Perry dubbed her as the “next American Idol” adding that her voice was very powerful. Katy added that she was vibrating on a different level and she was the kind of singer who got everybody’s attention. Lionel Richie praised Emyrson for her excellent stage presence and confidence calling her a star. Luke too chimed in and said her voice pulled everybody in. The audience sitting at home will now vote for the deserving candidates to make them reach the top 20.

‘Emyrson is the one to beat!’

Social media users were completely mesmerized by Emyrson’s performance as one of the users stated, “That was fantastic.. the best of the best.. Number 1 in my opinion.” Another shared, “Incredible. THIS voice will be recognized on the radio.” One user posted, “Wow! We agree that she could totally be the next #AmericanIdol” And, one added, “WOW! Emyrson is my new fav/front runner. Fantastic performance and one of the most utterly captivating voices I've ever heard.”
 
The next one tweeted, “EMERSON IS THE NEXT BEBE REXHA.”  One user posted, “#AmericanIdol Emyrson. My fav so far. Radio ready! @LionelRichie  yep. I said the same thing. Stage presence.” Meanwhile, one user tweeted, “Emyrson is the one to beat! Wow! #AmericanIdol. I was just about to tweet that no one had impressed me yet tonight and then she took the stage.” And, another stated, “Emyrson Flora with that tone that draws me in and the emotion to take you on a ride with her. Why does her stage presence remind me of Billie Eilish? Totally enjoyed this.”
