The premiere episode of ‘American Idol’ Season 20 aired on Sunday, February 27 making its comeback on ABC network for the fifth year consecutively. Pop princess Katy Perry, country music legend Luke Bryan, and iconic singer-songwriter Lionel Richie also resumed their judging responsibilities. The very first episode set the benchmark pretty high as a contestant named HunterGirl scored the first platinum ticket of the season.
Other singers who made waves on the premiere episode included Camryn Champion, Normandy, Taylor Jalen Fagens, and Danielle Finn. A singer named Maddie Glidewell too grabbed the headlines after she was rejected in the very first round. Social media users then slammed the trio for their wrong decision asking for a new judge on the show. The second episode of ‘American Idol’ Season 20 is all set to air on Sunday, March 6 that will bring new aspiring singers to the stage with an intention to win the coveted title. One such singer is Kelsie Dolin who will try her best to impress the judges in order to move to the next round.

Who is Kelsie Dolin?
Dolin is one of the contestants on Season 20 of the singing reality show. She will reportedly make her appearance in the second episode of the show’s auditions. Dolin just like the others will perform in front of the judges in order to continue her journey on the show. Dolin does not enjoy an active social media life and it seems she prefers to keep her life private. However, she did share the big news of her auditioning on ‘American Idol’ Season 20.
While sharing a selfie of hers a few weeks ago, the young crooner spilled a few details on her audition. She stated, “Hey y’all!! So I just did A crazy, life changing thing.. I auditioned for season 20 of American idol! Tune in February 27th on ABC to find out if I made it for not.” On Instagram, she also shared an official poster of the show that features Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie on the cover. She captioned the post as, “Season 20 #AmericanIdol is ready to launch… and so am I!” adding an emoticon of a space shuttle in the end. Out of the very few posts on Instagram, Dolin has also shared a few cover songs.
The singer is also active on TikTok and keeps her followers entertained with cover songs. Her social media posts indicated that she loves travelling and it might be the reason she prefers the offline world to online. It is also revealed that she is an animal lover and loves to spend time with her dog.
The 20th season of ‘American Idol’ will air on ABC at 8 pm ET. The show is expected to air 18 episodes and might wrap up in late May. The auditions for the new season were held in Los Angeles, Austin, and Nashville. Online auditions too happened with virtual sessions. While the format of the show will remain the same, a new platinum ticket has been introduced that would allow the holders to skip the first day of Hollywood Week.
