'American Idol': Top 10 contestant Dimitrius Graham is 'in suspense' over who will win the title in Season 17

In an exclusive interview with MEA WorldWide, Dimitrius Graham spoke about his experience in the competition and who he thinks has the highest chance of winning
UPDATED MAY 17, 2019

'American Idol' season 17 is approaching its end. When the series airs on Sunday, we will get to see the Top 3 contestants battle it out one last time before the winner is revealed.

Throughout the season, we got to see some impeccable talent with contestants from various cities auditioning to make it all the way. Sadly, not everyone could make it even though they were all unique in their own way.

The competition this season was one among the toughest we've witnessed and it is going to be hard to even predict who might end up winning this season.

While hundreds of contestants were eliminated through the season, there are a few who couldn't make it all the way but have found a place in the heart of fans.

One among them is Dimitrius Graham.

Graham made it all the way till the Top 10 before he was eliminated due to low votes.

After he was eliminated, fans compared him to former American Idol contestant and award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson claiming he could be the next Hudson.

In an exclusive interview with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), Graham spoke about his appearance on the competition and who he thinks has the highest chance of winning.

We asked Graham how it was to perform on the 'American Idol' stage in front of judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan. "It was super fun. I mean, to be honest, it was a dream come true. I never thought that I would have that experience, I would have that opportunity. You know, it's like just yesterday I was just confused and lost and I was panicking because I didn't really know what I wanted to do with my life. And then before, you know it I'm standing in front of them. And you know, the performance was really just a dream come true, to be honest."

Graham made it till the Top 10 before he was eliminated from the competition along with Uche Ndubizu.

When asked if he thought he would ever make it this far, he said, "No, not at all. I think that I'm cool and used to being hard on myself and like judging myself and people judge me and people not really giving me a chance for the opportunity because of how I look and because of who I am. But I mean, it just shows that you know hard work and dedication on really does get you to that next level."

Talking about who he thinks has the highest chance of winning this season, Graham revealed, "That is a hard question to answer because I don't know. I mean, to be honest, somebody asked me the same question and I told them that I think they were all winners. So they're all my close friends and I think that they all have a chance of like winning. They all bring something different to the table and they're all unique in their own way, so I don't know that. It's kind of hard to say because I'm literally going to be watching it with you guys. I'm literally going to be watching and in suspense and just hoping the best for everybody."

Battling it out in the season's grand finale are Alejandro Aranda, Laine Hardy, and Madison Vandenburg.

To see who will win this season's title, tune in to ABC on Sunday night at 8 pm. Check your local listings for more information.
