Who is Haley Slaton? 'American Idol' Season 20 star met her husband on ABC show
When Haley Slaton, a resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, decided to audition for season 20 of 'American Idol' little did she know how her life would change forever. The hit singing competition show returned for its iconic 20th season. After blessing the world with some of the biggest stars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, etc, the ABC show was all set to discover the next huge singing sensation of America.
Th search for the next big superstar led the show's famous judges- Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie, on a nationwide search across Nashville, Tennessee, Austin, Texas, and Los Angeles, California. Haley decided to hitch down to Austin with the hopes of bagging the coveted golden ticket to Hollywood. While we will have to wait until the show airs to see if Haley managed to impress the judges or not, in the meanwhile, we are pleased to report that the Iowa native managed to find the love of her life- Myles D. Who is Haley Slaton?
Haley Myles (nee Slaton) as mentioned earlier is a resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Haley appears to be a very private person, as we couldn't find much details on her. She however took to her Facebook to announce that she would be appearing on 'American Idol'. She wrote, "SOOOO GUYS!!!!! I will be on American Idol Season 20 Episode 4!!!!! ❤️ Tune in on Sunday March 20th to see my audition!!! 🥰 (I was pregnant with Jae🥺)."
Haley was expecting her son Jaelyn Amir Myles while she was auditioning for the show. She performed Miley Cyrus' 'The climd', and Adele's 'One and Only' before the judges. In a sneak-peek clip of her performance, Haley can be heard saying that she was auditioning on the show for the sake of her unborn child. But things have changed a lot for Haley since her auditioning in September 2021 for the ABC show. While she was in Austin ready to impress the judges, she ended up falling in love with her fellow participant Myles D. Jordan. The couple tied the knot in December 2021 and welcomed their little bundle of joy in January 2022.
In an interview with KHAK, Haley shared, "Im so blessed because I actually met my husband during our auditions in Texas and we got married on Christmas Eve!! We just knew we were the ones for each other right off the bat, I then had my son January 20th and hes the biggest blessing in our lives. I love them both so much." She described the whole experience as "amazing". "The experience was so amazing. I am so happy I got the opportunity to follow my dreams of becoming a singer.
