'American Idol' 2023: Who is Kaeyra? Award-winning singer and 'AGT' alum makes her comeback on screen
ALGONQUIN, ILLINOIS: 'American Idol' Season 21 is ready to introduce a new set of aspiring artists in the March 26 auditions. In the previous weeks, the viewers were glued to the screen as many talented artists like Iam Tongi, Olivia Soli, and Kayleigh Clark won their golden ticket to Hollywood.
ABC network's iconic show has been a ride full of emotions and excitement as judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan look for the next star of the music industry. In the upcoming auditions, the award-winning singer, Caroline Baran, will be featured. Caroline, who goes by the stage name Kaeyra is a Polish singer who was born and brought up in Chicago. She was a member of Caroline & The Priority, as well as Profusion's singer and bassist. Keep reading to know more about Kaeyra.

Who is Kaeyra?
The young singer is originally from Chicago, Illinois, but has Polish roots. In 2017, she released her debut album 'Fountains of Gold', and in 2021, she launched her much-awaited EP, '11:11'. She is a multi-instrumentalist as she can play the piano, bass, guitar, drums, and flute. Kaeyra has also performed at major festivals and concert halls in the United States as well as in Poland. Kaeyra grew up around music as her mother ran a music school. Currently, the 21-year-old works in a restaurant and sings there 4 days a week.
She appeared on 'America's Got Talent' in 2018, where she impressed the jury and made it to the judge cuts before being eliminated in the next round. Despite her young age, Kaeyra has already won numerous awards at various competitions in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Poland. Wietrzne Radio and PolskiFm awarded her the 'Artist of the Year' award in Chicago in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
She attended the Shot Summer Camp College Musicians Institute three times in Hollywood, California. Kaeyra graduated from the vocal class in 2015 and completed the Independent Artist Program in 2016. She also achieved her lifelong dream of performing at Lollapalooza. Moreover, it's worth mentioning that when the artist is not working she loves to travel. Recently, she was seen relaxing in Mexico.

Kaeyra on 'American Idol' Season 21
The 21-year-old singer announced on social media that she has auditioned for the latest season of 'American Idol'. Her music is classified as Pop, R&B, and Rock. Kaeyra is one of the few chosen ones who will get to perform live in front of the celebrity judges, and a clip of her audition has already been released. Kaeyra performed a fantastic rendition of Chris Stapleton's 'Cold'. Luke Bryan praised her for having a unique sound, and she impressed all three Idol judges with her rich vocals. She received a standing ovation from Luke as he claimed, "You were great, really great." Katy added, " I want to hear something less slow." Lionel also complimented Kaeyra as he said, " Music is in your blood." Kaeyra received three Yes' and is going to Hollywood. Don't forget to catch her full audition.
Kaeyra not only impressed the judges with her soulful voice, but she also amazed the fans. Many of them were in awe of her performance are rooting for her. One fan said, "tone and enunciation, along with such an emotional delivery, were mesmerizing." Another commented, "I said it before and I’ll say it again you got my vote. Definitely winning this season." One more added, "She, I feel is the best so far."
Her powerful rendition of 'cold' has made many fans believe she has a lot of potential and could even win. Some also think Olivia Soli is her biggest competition. One fan exclaimed, "Next Christina Aguilera." Another said, "Omg please put her and @oliviasoli to sing together ." One more added, "Best out of the whole season."
'American Idol' Season 21 airs at 8 pm ET every Sunday and is available to stream on Hulu the next day.
