‘American Idol’ Season 20: Kenedi Anderson wins platinum ticket, fans dub her ‘phenomenal’

Luke Bryan claimed that his head was spinning, adding that Kenedi might be the biggest star they ever saw on the singing reality show

A 17-year-old crooner named Kenedi Anderson showed up at the auditions of ‘American Idol’ Season 20 and quickly managed to floor the judges. Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan were left impressed after the Virginia native performed her rendition of Lady Gaga’s ‘Applause’. The trio also liked how she was flawless on the piano.
 
Kenedi Anderson left the judges and the social media users in shock as Katy said that she needed backstage passes for her performances joking that she was feeling threatened by her singing skills. The pop princess added that Kenedi was born to be a star and that she checks all the boxes. She asked Kenedi to get ready as she will become her own hero. Luke Bryan, on the other hand, claimed that his head was spinning adding that she might be the biggest star they ever saw on the singing reality show. The trio ultimately handed over the newly-introduced platinum ticket to Kenedi making her only the second one to earn it after HunterGirl.

Social media users flocked to Twitter to share their valuable opinion on Kenedi’s ‘American Idol’ audition. “Absolutely PHENOMENAL” said one stunned user as another claimed, “She's In It To Win It!!!!!” One user stated. “I'm in SHOCK. What an amazing singer. She deserved the #Platinumticket” Whereas, another added, “There’s a lot of people on this show that can sing and then there are people that can SING and Kenedi…you were amazing. You are ahead. You are too 5 material for sure, but there are some strange votes, so either way, you’re going to be a star. Well done.”
