'American Horror Story: 1984' episode 2: The Night Stalker's gorefest and feet fetish has fans very, very confused

The Night Stalker aka Richard Ramirez arrives at Camp Redwood to hunt down Brooke Thompson but turns out he is more into feet.

This article contains spoilers for season 9, episode 2.

The first episode of 'American Horror Story' season 9 '1984' brought back Richard Ramirez from season 5, 'Hotel'. The real-life killer played by Zach Villa was seen breaking into Brooke Thompson's house and attacking her, but she survived because the killer was interrupted. The second episode, however, unleashes the Night Stalker's violent madness in all its gory glory and it's a dream come true for fans of the slasher and gore genre.

After Ramirez's attack on Brooke was interrupted, right before he fled the scene, he had told her that he would find her, and Satan will show him the way. True enough, Satan did help him find Brooke, who is currently at Camp Redwood as a counselor with her friends and coworkers, but once again Ramirez isn't able to finish what he had started as Brooke hits him with a log and manages to flee.

However, Ramirez does get his thirst for blood and murder quenched when he comes across a random man running through the woods, while Ramirez was chasing Brooke. Noticing that she is off-limits now, Ramirez decides to act out on the man running through the woods, and with one slash of his knife, he first attacks him in the guts with a gash deep enough to make his flesh roll down as his intestines spill out in the open.

How the man was still alive is something that didn't occur to Ramirez at the point, as he proceeds to slash him across the neck. Unfortunately for Ramirez, but luckily for fans of gorefests, the man is actually the ghost of one of the campers murdered by Mr. Jingles back in the day, thus sparking off a loop of him not sustaining a single wound on his body. Ramirez does find out the truth, which leaves him a little dissatisfied, but at the same time, now that Camp-mother Margaret Booth (Leslie Grossman) has inspired him to take down Mr. Jingles, it's quite likely that Ramirez will kill more people along the way to his goals.

Speaking of Margaret inspiring Ramirez, we couldn't help but notice the seductive stares they shared back and forth. Margaret insists on him sharing his woes with her and the more Ramirez opens up to her, the scene keeps getting more and more uncomfortable because of how easily Margaret - a survivor of Mr. Jingles - is able to empathize with Ramirez. But the entire scene gets the weirdest when right at the very end, Ramirez asks Margaret if he can see her 'feet'. Yep, our man the Night Stalker has an apparent feet fetish and fans are having a hard time digesting it.

"Wow Nightstalker really went straight to the feet stuff, didnt' waste any time," wrote one viewer. Another couldn't believe the Night Stalker's request as she tweeted: "This weirdo asking if he can see her feet like its a common thing to ask people."

'American Horror Story: 1984' airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm only on FX.
