'American Gods' Season 3 Episode 6: What is Mr World hiding from Technical Boy in the name of Artifact?
In 'American Gods' Season 3 Episode 6 we see how Shadow and Technical Boy arrive at the Blacksite to rescue Bilquis only to see that she had found herself in the process of being imprisoned by William Sanders' men. Technical Boy also understands that his problem with what he continually refers to as a bug or a malware is nothing but unstable emotions that continue to soar through him.
Technical Boy was also once a human, one who was passionate about studying the art of mechanics and engineering. As a result, he had ended up creating a robot that showed insight into how much technology would pervade a person's life. In fact, it was an awe-inspiring moment, were his talents acknowledged. However, he falls prey to a con artist's trap and ends up becoming labeled a fraud himself.

This is a trauma he seems to have forgotten and the emotions that he had felt when he had gone through this experience seems to be what has triggered the bug within him. So he leaves urgently from the black site after seeing that Bilquis was fine and arrives at a safe spot. A server room that has the capability to diagnose him for bugs, malware or any other interference.
Once he runs a diagnostics on himself, he realizes that he has begun to feel emotional and is unable to feel any of it without putting himself under pressure. This pressure is what leads to instability within him and his powers are hence influenced by the same as well. The diagnostics also asks for something called an artifact. According to the machine that ran the diagnostics, it turned out that they would need something called the Artifact to salvage the situation if necessary.
After going off the grid for days, Technical Boy arrives back at the headquarters when Mr World is dealing with the aftermath of William Sanders going missing. He is definitely not fine, and the problem is something that he is unable to resolve on his own. So he ends up asking Mr World what the Artifact it and Mr World ends up answering him in a wishy-washy manner.
We also see Mr World call someone up to explain how Technical Boy is in trouble, a kind that they might not be able to solve very soon. He also explains that for now he has convinced Technical Boy about the Artifact while he holds it in his hand. It looks like a powerful object that can not only help Technical Boy but also make him a tad bit more powerful. Can he figure out he is being duped by his own side soon enough? We will have to wait and see.
'American Gods' Season 3 episodes will premiere at 12 am every Sunday on the Starz App and will then be broadcast on Starz channel at 8 pm ET.
