'Let It Go': Ukrainian child melts hearts by singing iconic 'Frozen' song in Kyiv bunker
Ukrainian residents have been sheltering in bunkers for many days as Russian air assaults continue. Despite this, youngsters, even those who are living underground, are attempting to bring a little cheer to their fellow survivors. Amelia is one of these kids. The young lady sang 'Let It Go' from the famous Disney movie 'Frozen' that touched everyone's hearts in the shelter. Marta Smekhova, one of the bunker's occupants, shared the footage of Amelia's performance on Facebook first. Smekhova filmed the girl's performance after taking her mother's permission, and the video quickly went viral on the Internet. "I showed this film to people in various cities of Ukraine, foreigners in different parts of the world watched it. Amelia, your singing left no one indifferent!”
Marta wrote on her Facebook caption, “seeing in one of the Kyiv bomb shelters, how children draw bright pictures in the dim light, I, of course, could not pass by in silence …” Marta approached the youngster without hesitation and asked her to achieve her ambition of singing for the others at the shelter. Amelia, on the other hand, was concerned that it was too loud and that no one would hear her. It turned out that as soon as she began singing, everyone in the shelter went silent, laid down their belongings and settled down to listen to her.

Many on social media were mesmerized by Amelia's performance. The original singer of the song, Idina Menzel, wrote from her official Twitter account, “We see you. We really, really see you. 💙💛” Another Twitter user wrote, "I’ve been in tears all day watching video footage on Twitter with so many people suffering and dying at the hands of Putin, but this is a blessing to watch this sweet innocent little darling girl sing. God bless you and thank you for giving everyone hope 🙏🏽💙💛"

Someone wrote, “lovely, brave girl. To go through what she and her family are dealing with, yet still be able to smile and sing, is absolutely amazing. The strength of the human spirit - even in a child. Stay safe little one. I wish you a long & happy life.❤” “This is both incredibly heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. For a moment, she lit up the room creating a palpable sense of peace and calm. #StandWithUkraine 🇺🇦🌻,” yet another person added.

Marta later congratulated the youngster and promised to put on an exhibition to help brighten the location where they were staying. The talented little girl also informed her that she enjoys singing as well as sketching. "She whispered her dream that she wants to sing on the big stage in front of the audience," Marta revealed.
Marta also addressed the Russians by saying, "look, Russians against whom you are fighting! Only a coward can fight civilians, take childhood from defenseless children!" Even in this tough time, she said, Ukrainian children in shelters radiate light. "Even in a damp, dark cellar, it does not fade but lights up even brighter! And the whole world applauds our children!” she concluded.
