'She can get a job at McDonald's': Amber Heard slammed after Megyn Kelly calls her 'UNEMPLOYABLE'
With the bitter six-week defamation trial finally coming to an end, Amber Heard’s future prospects are a big question now as she is left to pick up the pieces of her career. But how exactly is she going to go ahead from here after her defeat against Johnny Depp?
As posted on Law&Crime Network, during an appearance on Floyd Abrams' ‘Speaking Freely’ podcast, renowned journalist and commentator Megyn Kelly said, “I think she’s professionally ruined for the time being. I’m not sure whether she comes back from this, even in a town that’s very liberal and that would be much more in the knee jerk ‘I believe all women' camp. The problem for her in Hollywood is the nation watched this trial, and they decided she was a liar and Depp was a truth-teller.”

She added, "Yes, they were manipulated by the press. Yes, they saw YouTube mashups that the jury didn’t see and all of that, but they had the opportunity to decide with her in the court of public opinion, if that’s how they were feeling and in watching her testimonial and so on, they didn’t. Hollywood, before it’s woke these days, has gotta be somewhat business-minded and capitalist."
The talk show host also reflected on the larger social impact the televised trial had. "There was already a petition with, I don’t know, between 3 and 4 million. Maybe it’s more now to get her booted out of the next Aquaman sequel. They don’t wanna see her. She’s come to represent more than a woman who falsely accused a beloved actor. She’s come to represent all women, who women and men feel have made false accusations. Now that’s unfair, but that’s where we are. And that’s why I say she’s probably unemployable," she said.
Kelly was referring to a fan-led petition by Jeanne Larson to Courtney Simmons, SVP of Publicity & Communications for DC Warner Bros, that was started to ban Amber Heard from 'Aquaman 2.' Its target was 4.5 million signatures, and it has already reached 4.4 million.
The fan in her petition wrote, "Amber Heard is a known and proven domestic abuser, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from their Aquaman 2 film project. They must not ignore the suffering of Heard's victims, and must not glamorize a domestic abuser."
The petition added, "Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry."
Social media largely concurred with Kelly's observations. On Twitter, one user said, "And if we go back, in truth, Amber shouldn't be in Hollywood because wealth and power corrupted her so much. She became a dangerous woman. Maybe she can go and work a regular job and get mental health." Another said, "Nah she can always apply as a 'Husband Beater'." "And rightly so. She can get a job at McDonald's,” someone added.
One user snarkily stated, "Well, so became “Pre Trial” Johnny Depp upon her accusations. Seems fair to me," alluding to the fact that Depp lost his role in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise owing to the allegations.
