Nude photos reported to be of Stephen Curry are 'absolutely fake', but Twitter still cannot remain calm
Proving yet again that the Twitteratti has no chill, the last 48 hours have seen Twitter fill up with posts asking for Stephen Curry's nudes, memes about his nudes getting leaked, and even speculation about the possible culprits who leaked the said nudes. Ironically, though, the nudes that are being circulated on the internet may not even be his. According to the Daily Mail, the Gold States Warrior champ's agent has confirmed that the nudes are "absolutely fake".
We saw Twitter go crazy on Friday as soon as some supposedly hacked pictures of Curry were shared at record speed on social media. The photos showed Curry or his lookalike wearing a towel around his waist, while the others feature a naked male body - possibly belonging to the same person, but this cannot be confirmed because the face is not visible.
One of the reasons people believe the "fake" argument to be true is because one of the photos where the genitalia is exposed, we can see a Washington Redskins boxers dropped to his ankles. It is popular knowledge that Curry is a die-hard fan of the Carolina Panthers.
While Curry is still recovering from a hand injury, he has not spoken to the media yet, but a Warriors spokesman has stated that he would speak with the basketball player to further find proof to establish that the pictures are phony. The team, however, is not planning on making any public statements regarding the matter.
It remains unclear where the fakes originated and who created them, and even though it has been well established that Curry is not in the pictures, we have seen Twitteratti trying to get a glimpse of the said pictures. We are seeing taunts along the likes of "Steph Curry’s nudes leaked and I’m seeing A LOOOT of my “straight” male followers tweeting “lol where at?” ..." Seeing as A$AP Rocky's sex tape got leaked recently, some are joking about how he may have leaked Curry's alleged nudes to get some heat off of himself.
