New episodes of 'All or Nothing: Arsenal' dropped on Thursday (August 11) on Amazon Prime Video, and Episode 4 is all about the beginning of the end of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's time at Colney. The club captain left the club on a sour note after his relationship with manager Mikel Arteta steadily deteriorated over the course of the season, and 'Respect, Commitment, Passion' tells the inside story of Auba's benching and his subsequent suspension as skipper.

One of the more startling revelations was when Arteta revealed that he had documented all of Auba's infractions that he felt were going against the grain of what the club was about. A conversation between Mark Gonnella, Arsenal's Director of Media, Communications, and Community Affairs, and Arteta showed that the latter was keen to make sure he was trying to instill a winning culture and that Auba's lack of attention to this primarily as a leader in the locker room was unacceptable. Post a pre-game press conference, the duo are seen talking where the manager tells the media directors that he's made note of all his issues.

This is followed by a conversation between Edu Gaspar and Richard Garlick who get on a call with the club lawyer and discuss Auba's state in the team. A question by the lawyer about his faults is answered by Garlick who says, "Mikel's [Arteta] got a file. It's a catalog of misdemeanors that he's had which has culminated in this." This proves that the management had made note of the striker's errors. By the end of the episode, there was news in the camp that he had made his way to Barcelona, a team that he would eventually move to after his time with the Gunners.

He made an agreement to join Barcelona in February 2022 and the latest update linked to the player was Chelsea agreeing to buy him out along with midfielder De Jong if the Spanish club permits them to leave. Sky Sports News senior reporter Melissa Reddy called him a flamboyant character on the site and shared her two cents on Arteta's decision.  "I understand Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was trying to create a culture of excellence and he couldn't have somebody - especially the captain and a senior player at the club - consistently flouting the rules.

"So he had to make a stand there and the direction he wanted to move in was to go with a younger squad."

'All or Nothing: Arsenal' Episodes 4-6 are streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
