Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Brandi Carlile and Macklemore are just some of the musical giants from Seattle who are coming together for All In WA’s newly announced virtual Covid-19 relief concert. It airs on June 10 and will be streamed on Twitch via Amazon's music channel and on local Seattle television channels KING 5 and KONG at 7 pm PST. According to All In WA, the special concert aims to "bring attention to our state's needs and reliance" during the coronavirus pandemic.

All In WA is a non-profit coalition that was formed with the backing of Washington Governor Jay Inslee and First Lady Trudi Inslee to encourage others to give back and address the health, social and economic impacts of the pandemic. "Washington state was at the forefront of the Covid-19 pandemic, and our state will be at the forefront of a safe recovery," the governor said in a press release, according to Spin. The All In WA website says, "Across the state, those who can are stepping up to provide support. Washington was at the forefront of managing the Covid-19 pandemic in the US, and our state will be at the forefront of what it takes to support our communities and restart our economy in a safe and sustainable way. By banding together, we can emerge a stronger, more equitable society."

Funds raised through the broadcast will go to several local organizations working on food security and helping out the homeless, among other issues. All In WA hopes to raise $65M, which will be distributed statewide to 42 funds through an advisory board. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos says he will match individual donations under $1M, with a cap at $25M in total. Amazon is providing $10M to sponsor the event and cover production and marketing expenses. All In WA has raised $20M so far. Donations can be made at allinwa.org/donate.

The concert will also feature Ciara and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, Allen Stone, Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, Joel McHale, Mary Lambert, Sir Mix-A-Lot and The Black Tones. More performers are set to be announced soon. For more information on the concert special, visit All In WA’s website.
