The latest episode of 'All American' may have dashed Coop's hopes of getting a singing contract. In episode six titled 'Hard Knock Life', JP Keating (Elvis Nolasco), Layla's father, a music mogul that grew up in Harlem, New York comes into the picture. He tries to make amends with his daughter and agrees to meet Coop for a singing contract.

Coop finally had a meeting with JP, only to find out he was more interested in Patience when she had just been helping out. While she tried to brush it off and was determined to find the right producer for her music, she did not tell Patience how JP praised her singing skills. Could it be a big start for Patience as JP seemed genuinely impressed by Patience's voice?

Fans are bummed by the whole sequence and are wondering why Coop didn't mention to Patience how JP liked her voice. "So Coop couldn’t tell Patience she was a big hit on the song. And Mr. Ketting liked her the best out of Coop," one viewer posted and another wondered, "Is Coop going to tell Patience that JP wants her? Is Darnell going to replace Chris? The next episode will be tough to watch."

"Coop not being totally honest with Patience about what Layla's dad said is going to bite her in the butt," one viewer wrote and another fan posted, "Coop should’ve told Patience the truth. It’s always going to come up in the end #AllAmerican."

Many fans were disheartened when Layla's father wanted Patience instead of Coop. "Oh no he wants Patience and not Coop," one tweet read and another said, "Excuse you, Coop is the artist you should be signing."

Several others pointed at her jealous streak. "But Coop is really trash for not telling Patience that Layla’s dad wants to sign her. Just because it didn’t work out for you doesn’t mean that you block her blessings," one tweet read and another said, "Coop shoulda even told Patience the truth, she’s gonna find out sooner or later!" Another viewer wrote: "Coop, you better tell Patience! Don’t do that!!!!!!!! NOOOO! Jealousy is something serious man."

As the next episode airs, it might show whether Coop gathers the courage to tell Patience that she might have a chance to grab a record deal or not. Titled 'Coming Home', it is scheduled for a November 25 release on The CW.
