The CW's very 'One Tree Hill'-esque drama 'All American' is a storehouse of complicated father-son relationships. One of them happens to be the relationship between Beverly Hills High School football coach Billy Baker and his son, Jordan. So when Taye Diggs, who plays Billy, took to Instagram to share a random 'father-son' clip from the show's past to honor the on-screen relationship between him and Michael Evas Behling (Jordan), curious fans automatically jumped to the comments section to wonder if a third season is coming soon.

The CW show is loosely based on the real-life story of NFL star Spencer Paysinger, a now-retired linebacker who has played for teams like the New York Giants, the Miami Dolphins, the New York Jets and the Carolina Panthers. And after two very grand and successful seasons highlighting the journey of Spencer James (Daniel Ezra) on the show, fans are waiting with bated breath for the already greenlit third season to take the floor.

So naturally, Diggs's Instagram post came as a warm surprise that also piqued their brains. Taking it to Instagram, Diggs shared a montage of clips from Seasons 1 and 2, where his character Billy is professing his love and pride towards his quarterback son, Jordan (Behling). Captioned "father and son @michaelb05," the clip shows a summation of all the touching exchange between the two characters. Billy talks about the many wrongs his family has done in the past and how Jordan was going to grow up without succumbing to any of them. Filled with promise and emotion, the clip was exactly what was needed to pull at the heartstrings of fans about to cave into an otherwise somber Wednesday midnight. That's a classic The CW drama for you.

But instead of caving into tears or feels, fans were jolted into a start trying to speculate a Season 3. It began with a fan sharing "Need all American back ASAP", and another soon chimed in "When is season 3 coming out??" For others, demands were prioritized. "IDGAF just give me season 3 soon or nothing," wrote a fan. A fourth fan however thought this post was a hint enough. "SEASON 3!!!! #ComingSoon" they enthused in the comments section.

While there hasn't been any official word on the arrival of the third season, it should be coming sometime soon, given the show's premiere slate falls in the fall season. Seasons 1 and 2 had both premiered in October 2018 and 2019 respectively. And even if production is yet to be completed, hopefully, the lockdown restrictions will allow the brand new season to be filmed and ready by October 2020. Although in a broader sense of the term, all network television shows seem to be aiming for the 2021 slate, so there's no nailing the coffin right now. Only October will tell.
