MTV's 'Are You the One' star Alexis Eddy has been found dead in West Virginia, according to reports.

According to TMZ, law enforcement sources shared that cops got a call shortly before 7 am on Thursday morning for a female in cardiac arrest. No foul play was suspected, but authorities were still awaiting a toxicology report to figure out the cause of death.

Eddy, 23, a West Virginia native, rose to fame through the reality dating show that used modern technology and dating algorithm for 20-plus men and women to find love. She had appeared on the show in 2017 and spilled that her cousin was a convicted murderer. On social media, she was quite open about her struggles with substance abuse as well. Shockingly, in a September post from 2019, she had also revealed that both she and her father were clean and sober alongside two side-by-side photos comparing their progress from a couple of years ago.

A family member shared with TMZ that Eddy had come home to her mother's house on Wednesday night at 11 pm and seemed to be just fine. While she was found by another family member, they still believed that she was sober. In October 2019, Eddy had announced that she was engaged, but now it appears that that engagement had ended quite recently.

Following the news of her death surfacing, Eddy's former MTV co-stars took to social media to share their reaction and condolences. Ethan 'Emoney' Cohen tweeted, "Literally talked to Alexis yesterday about how much better her life is sober. Just don't even know how to feel right now. Can't believe we'll never have another heart to heart convo."

Another co-star, Kenya Scott, shared: “Damn it’s a sad day for the AYTO fam, so sorry to anyone that was close to Alexis. Heartbreaking, sending love.”
