The protest outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday, July 19, led to the arrest of Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. During the pro-abortion demonstration, Rep Carolyn Maloney was also arrested. However, a video has been circulating since AOC's arrest in which she can be seen being taken away by the police as she fakes being handcuffed. People have reacted in a negative way and the trolling has been extreme since then.

In the video, a Capitol police officer can be seen gently escorting a smirking AOC away from the scene, along with Rep Maloney, after blocking traffic outside the court building. But the 32-year-old representative shows as if she's being restrained for a few seconds as she puts her hands behind her back despite being treated calmly by the police. It was only a few moments that the video revealed that she wasn't handcuffed as she raised her fist to entice her supporters. However, the American politician and activist once again cross her hands behind her back in a phony handcuffed position.

The video which was shared on Twitter by Douglas Blair, who's a news reporter himself, has now been viewed over 5 million times and people cannot stop slamming Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for faking her arrest. Some claim that it was unnecessary and some claim that it is sending a wrong message to the police while they're doing their job peacefully. AOC has been vocal about her opinions on the US Supreme Court's decision on June 24 to overturn Roe v Wade, and she was following the same motivation on the abortion rights protest outside of the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

People slam AOC for faking arrest

One user tweeted, "AOC PRETENDS to be *handcuffed* in fake arrest protesting Supreme Court -- then raises her fist, breaking her fake handcuffs CLOWN WORLD LOL." Another user wrote, ".@AOC so you faked being handcuffed to keep lying to women? Abortion is legal up until birth in NY, but your voters can’t afford groceries and crime is out of control. Desperate isn’t a good look on you. Go back to your Insta makeup tutorials, you’re actually good at those."

One user trolled AOC by saying, "You guys... @AOC is such a victim that she has to pretend that the big, mean policeman put her in handcuffs... She probably also thinks he wants to date her." Another user mentioned how the media can overturn the whole situation in the upcoming years, "When a still photo of this gets pulled out in say, 30 years, during an election campaign, to show how radical AOC was in her early days, remember that she wasn’t actually handcuffed."

One user trolled her IQ and tweeted, "When you pretend you’re being handcuffed to appease the feminazi vote but forget and wave to the crowd because you’re AOC and have an IQ of 60. You couldn’t make this up if you tried. Political gold." Another user wrote, ".@AOC is such an expert at getting attention and narrative building that she PRETENDED to be handcuffed just so she could have this image on social media. There are no handcuffs on her lmfaoooo"
