'AGT' Season 19: Watch Sofia Vergara get into a flip-off war with Canadian adult content comedian Chris Wilson

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: On Tuesday, July 2, a magician from Toronto, Canada, appeared on the fifth episode of 'America's Got Talent' Season 19. By the end of the performance, Chris Wilson engaged in a playful flip-off exchange with judge Sofía Vergara.

Self-proclaimed shy magician Chris from Canada initially impressed the judges with his passion for magic. However, after his performance, it was clear that he was purely a shock-value comedy act. One audience member described his flipping off the judges as "not magic".

He began performing magic for his congregants at his church, claiming that learning magic had given him the confidence and courage to come out of his shell. Furthermore, he started his performance by blowing up a balloon and then popping it to make it disappear. Following that, he raised his hand and gave the middle finger.

"Magic!" he said, flipping off the crowd. Throughout his act, he would pick up random objects and then shock the audience with his antics. By the end, Sofía Vergara had grabbed her top before flipping him off in return.

Acts may vie for the title of legitimate winner or simply for the publicity that comes with competing on the 'AGT' stage. However, Chris seemed to be an exception, performing purely for the enjoyment of the game and to entertain the audience with his slightly coarse performance.

He presented himself as a magician and had all the makings of an enigmatic and inquisitive illusionist. However, he soon revealed that all of his "tricks" were merely elaborate pretexts for giving everyone the finger. Despite the laughter it elicited, it was clear that there wouldn't be a follow-up to this act.

To ensure that he would not progress, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum both pressed their red X buttons, followed by formal "no" votes from Sofia and Simon Cowell.

Soon after seeing the Canadian magician's crazy performance, fans reacted on social media. One fan joked, "We all want to flip America off like that guy did. Let’s be honest judges." Another fan said, "This bro just wanted to flip America off."

One fan wrote, "I LOVE him. Lots of people are gonna flip someone else off tomorrow and yell MAGIC!! Admit it." While one confused fan asked, "Did he flip us off?"

Chris is a native of Canada. In addition to being a magician, he also performs as part of the comedic duo Peter N' Chris with Peter Carlone.

Since 2012, the two have been sharing sketches and skits on their joint YouTube channel. Together, they have been hosting the podcast 'This Time it’s Different…' since October 2020.
