'AGT' Season 17 Live Show: Fans call Simon a 'heckler' for hitting the x buzzer during Lace Larabee's act

Fans called out Simon Cowell for hitting the buzzer, while he claimed he was trying to help Lace Larabee

As the 'America's Got Talent' live shows continue, the artists are giving it all that they've got, seeing that this is their shot at achieving their dreams. Before Lace Larabee could hit the stage, she explained that she initially used comedy as her talent act back in her pageant days. She added that she didn't know what she was doing back then and quickly became an oddball in the pageant circuit due to her talent choice.

However, now, on the 'AGT' stage, it wasn't about her dresses and her smile, it was all about her talent. Larabee added that this performance was for her parents, seeing that they sacrificed a lot to raise her sister and her. She added that she was truly been working towards this moment all her life.

For her live show routine, Larrabee made a few jokes about being married and life after. While she went through her routine, it seemed as though Simon wasn't feeling her vibe, as he hit the buzzer. While it startled Larrabee and everyone else as well, she continued with her routine. When it came to the judges' critique, Simon stated that he hit the buzzer to 'help her' amd claimed that she was 'much funnier' during the first performance. The other judges disagreed, stating that it was not easy to continue after being buzzed, to which Larrabee cheekily replied that there is often one man in the audience who felt the need to interrupt her. Fans were on Larrabee's side. 

"So @SimonCowell said he gave a standup comedian the X as a way to help them, the same way a drunk audience member says he was heckling a comic, "just to add to your act, buddy!!" #AGT" tweeted a fan. "Tonight proves @agt needs a freaking 2nd round before lives .. F U Simon #agt" said a fan. "She should have gone off her act for a moment to treat Simon & his buzzer as a heckler. I know they are kept to certain things by producers that viewers don’t see or know about, but it would’ve shown her spontaneity & ability to keep the stage. @agt @SimonCowell #agt" added another.
