Though Avery Dixon bagged the coveted golden buzzer on the premiere episode of 'America's Got Talent' Season 17, fans felt that British singer Lee Collinson deserved it. Lee, who flew down all the way from Britain to compete on the talent-hunt show, impressed the judges and the audience with his soul-stirring performance.

The young performer gave a moving performance to 'Better Days' by Dermot Kennedy for his audition. He dedicated the song to his friend who he lost during the Covid 19 pandemic. Lee managed to keep the judges and the audience spellbound with his impeccable vocals. By the end of his performance, the judges couldn't stop raving about his vocals and his "star quality". But before they gave their verdict, the judges called his mother back home in England and looped her in while they announced that he would be advancing to the next round.
