Shoppers enraged after UK store displays SEX TOYS above chocolate boxes within kids' reach
In the city of Stoke-on-Trent, England, a Poundland store is selling adult toys that have been kept within children's reach. This has sparked outrage among parents. These battery-powered bargains, which were priced at £8, astounded shoppers and received a wide range of responses from parents and shoppers. Many people have even resorted to social media to express their displeasure over the products being displayed in such a way that all children could see them.
The recent arrival of Poundland's adult toys impressed some customers, and the retailer went on to expand their assortment in additional stores. This product line has been a hit with customers, with this budget-friendly merchant reporting to The Sun Online that 5,000 of these adult toys were sold per week. Though these adult toys have attracted the interest of some, not everyone has been tempted to purchase them, especially given the present controversy over their placement.

According to Jayn Wainwright, a 61-year-old woman who spoke to Stoke-on-Trent Live said, "I do not think they should have them. They are not appropriate. People should go to a sex shop if they want to buy them. Young children go in there. They might start asking questions which parents do not want to answer at that point."
Images of sex toys on Poundland shelves have gone viral on social media, with one Twitter user writing, "They are never on the top self always eye level Poundland have become very cheap and tacky head office think that is amusing to sell sex toys and there is more items planned, The staff are forced to sell this filth when they only singed up to work in a normal shop not a sex shop!"
