BAYVILLE, NEW JERSEY: Scandal-hit New Jersey school district attempts to cover up questions surrounding Adriana Kuch's death while acting superintendent "laughed off sexual assault" claims. During a press meeting at the Central Regional High School, acting superintendent Dr Douglas Corbett, addressed policies and procedures in the school community while claiming they are "committed" to learning from her tragic death.

The 14-year-old committed suicide two days after a video surfaced on the Internet showing her being beaten by classmates in the school hallway on February 1. Following her death, students have taken to the street to address the "systemic" and "violent" culture in the region. Meanwhile, cowardly superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides has resigned after trying to shift the blame on Kuch's upbringing.

'Outcomes of these investigations are confidential!'

"One of the things I'm definitely going to do better is to communicate the good things that we're doing, the services that we provide and the responses that we already have in place so the students understand that we're here to help always," Corbett said. Although when asked whether he would give into the students questions, he allegedly "laughed off sexual assault" claims, according to Daily Mail. "Our current harassment, intimidation and bullying policy and procedures are current and comply with all state laws and department of education requirements," he said.

"All complaints filed by students family members or others in our school community are documented and investigated. The outcomes of these investigations are confidential." Furthermore, there is a full team of specialists dedicated to the physical and emotional health of students. "Three anti bullying specialists are available and we have a 27 member crisis team who are trained and have been mobilized to interview in conflicts as soon as possible," Corbett said.

'Lack of action!'

However, outraged students and parents have blamed the school's lack of action and failure to address and fix an "inherent" and "diabolical" issue of "violence and bullying" in the district which has been present for years. Aside from the initiative to control bullying, the school is also expected to appoint a new superintendent after the surprising resignations from Parlapanides. Until then, Corbett will be in charge as acting superintendent. It remains unclear whether he will retain the position.
