SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI: There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the death of Addi Siscel, a high school cheerleader who allegedly died in a car accident on Sunday, April 30. While law enforcement is yet to address the incident, there were unfounded claims on the internet that the Francis Howell High School student was pregnant at the time of her death.

Francis Howell’s cheerleading team confirmed the tragic news on their Facebook page, writing, “Our FHHS Cheer family is devastated by the loss of our sweet Addi Siscel. Addi, you were a light to all of us and you always encouraged us to be our best selves. We will miss the way your smile lit up our sidelines but your heart will always remain within us. Watch over us & we promise to work hard and always make you proud. Rest easy, and fly high beautiful girl.”

Was Addi Siscel pregnant when she died?

It's worth noting that Siscel's passing is yet to be addressed by law enforcement and has not been covered by any major news outlets. However, the fact that the high school cheerleading team acknowledged her death has offered some credence to the tragic news. There have been several claims surrounding Siscel's death, one of them being that she was pregnant at the time of the car accident.

However, we haven't seen any credible reports to back the claim and so it can be considered baseless. Meanwhile, a GoFundMe launched by the Francis Howell Cheer Boosters team had raised more than $9,600 -- nearly double its $5,000 goal -- at the time of publication. The page stated that all funds raised "will go directly to Addi’s family for funeral/memorial expenses."

Tributes poured in from well-wishers who knew Addi personally, with Facebook user Julie Ragusky remembering the cheerleader's "sweet concern" for her when she was diagnosed with cancer. "When Addi found out that my cancer had returned, she bought me pink roses. She came to me one plan period and talked about everything from her struggles and fears to her sweet concern for me," wrote Siscel's friend, Julie Ragusky.

She added, "The last time I saw her in August, she gave me a big hug and I assured her she would do great in high school, and that I was just an email away if she needed me. She was a pistol. She would challenge me in one moment and make me laugh in the next. I still can’t wrap my head around this one. The world is a little less bright today. Rest well, sweet girl."

Melissa White Goddard, whose daughter Abby was a close pal of Siscel, also paid tribute to the late cheerleader. "Addi was a dear friend to Abby and a special part of our family for many years," she wrote. Goddard added, "Her family and friends are devastated and could use all the love and prayers right now. Hug your babies tight and please keep Addi's family and friends in your prayers during this terribly difficult time. The Howell Cheer family has set up a Go Fund Me to help her grandma and family with expenses. We love you, sweet girl!"

Addi Siscel's funeral details

Goddard also relayed information from Addi's family members about her funeral service scheduled over the weekend. Public Visitation is scheduled to be held at the Hutchens-Stygar Funeral Center in Cottleville this Sunday, May 7, from 3 pm to 8 pm local time. Siscel's grandmother suggested that girls attending the visitation "wear blue jeans, pink hoodie or pink shirt" in honor of her adorable granddaughter.
