SOUTH KOREA: A popular South Korean actress’ unexpected death has sent shock waves among her fans across the world. Jung Chae-yul was only 26 when she reportedly died on April 11. The reason behind the ‘Zombie Detective’ star’s sudden death has not been revealed yet.
The tragic news was confirmed by her agency Management S in a statement that noted, “Today, we are relaying sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Actress Jung Chae-yul has left our side on April 11, 2023. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family who must have been in greater sadness than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly in private.”
While not many details about the cause of her death are revealed, international publication Koreaboo reported that the actress was found dead in her home.

“Please wish for Jung Chae-yul, who had always been earnest in her pursuit of acting, to rest in peace in a warm place. We earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumors,” it added.
The agency's CEO, Lee Soo Haeng, also shared, “Our Chae Yul was very hardworking. She was a deep-hearted and cool friend. In my opinion, it is hard to describe in words how amazing she was as an actress.”

Meanwhile, many of her fans and admirers took to her Instagram page to pay tribute to the late actress. A user wrote, “Such a heartbreaking news, may she rest in peace❤.” Another one said, “Rest In Peace pretty😞.” The third user commented, “REST IN PEACE CHAEYUL🙏🤍.” The fourth one mentioned, “Will always be an angel in the hearts of fans 🤍.”
A fan remarked, “Why😭she is just 26years old.” The second one added, “May the soul rest in peace.” “May Allah give the best place ❤️,” a comment read below one of her photos.
Not just Instagram, tributes began to pour in on Twitter as well. A Twitter user said, “Rest in peace. Hopefully her family can stay strong in this time of sadness.” The second user tweeted, “My condolences to the family💐.” The third one posted, “Deepest condolence to Chae Yull's family.
