'For Life' Episode 8 Preview: Will Dawkins use Aaron's legal expertise for his own benefit?
Despite suffering at the hands of the system for years, a wrongfully incarcerate Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock) has never resorted to illicit ways to free himself. Every move of his faced with a major blow as the District Attorney officials are doing everything in their power to retain their positions, which would be threatened if Aaron wins against them.
In the previous episode, his representation of a fellow inmate comes out with flying colors when the court permits a prison wedding. However, he loses his own chance at the retrial, when the only witness he was counting on fails to appear at the court.
The official synopsis for Episode 8 of 'For Life' reads, "In order to maintain his lifeline to the outside world, Aaron is forced to defend Cassius Dawkins when he puts three white supremacists in the hospital; Marie struggles with her feelings for Aaron after he signs her divorce papers.”
In the upcoming episode, after going back and forth a lot, Aaron enlists Cassius Dawkins (50 Cent) to overturn his conviction. However, his freedom seems to come at a cost as the newly transferred convict wants Aaron to legally represent him.
The circumstance puts Aaron in a tough spot owing to Dawkins's reputation and also because the latter’s true intentions are still unclear, considering his transfer to the new prison was a plan framed by Glen Maskins (Boris McGiver).
The official trailer for 'Daylight' sees Dawkins questioning Aaron's potential, while the latter goes against men of his own community to help the former.
It remains to be seen if Dawkins is genuinely interested in helping Aaron or if he’s only putting up an act as a part of the DA official’s plan. And, even if Dawkins wants to help Aaron with all the right intentions, how could he be of any help? Would he betray the DA officials and take his new association with Aaron forward knowing he’s the best?
Meanwhile, Marie Wallace (Joy Bryant) is bogged down by the fact that Aaron is willing to go ahead with the divorce, making her reconsider her decision. This is indicative of trouble that could ensue in her relationship with Darius Johson, who isn’t too convinced with her treatment of her husband.
'For Life' airs on Tuesdays on ABC.
