Talon Rodgers and Alisa Wash: Newlyweds found shot dead in Virginia apartment, groom's brother missing
VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA: A newlywed couple was found shot dead in their apartment in Thalia, Virginia Beach on Monday, and now police are looking for the groom's brother who is missing. Talon Rodgers and his wife, Alisa Wash, both 23, were found dead with gunshot wounds on April 4 in their Virginia Beach residence, just over three weeks after they were married. The case was classified as a double homicide by cops, who said neither Rodgers nor Wash appeared to be involved in the shooting.
Police were contacted, according to another neighbor, after a friend turned up looking for Wash when she failed to show up for work. A neighbor, Zak Rabe, also heard "a couple of loud bangs" on the night of March 30, according to media reports.
Meanwhile, Rodgers' 20-year-old brother, Collin Rodgers, was reported missing by his family on Wednesday, April 6, prompting police to issue a search warrant. Collin has been classified as an 'endangered adult' by the Virginia Beach Police Department due to unknown circumstances surrounding his disappearance. He was last seen at his parent's house on March 27. Collin had been staying in the Thalia Gardens Apartments and Townhomes complex for a while.

Police described Collin as 1.75 meters (5'9) tall and weighing 63 kilograms (140 pounds). He has multiple tattoos, including a snake and blue Pokémon on his collarbone and another on his forearm. He could be driving a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon with the Virginia license plate 4871XH, according to police. They have not yet named any suspects in the double homicide.
Talon and Alisa married on March 11, according to Wash's Facebook page. Her ‘Reckless Ladies’ social group paid homage to the couple on social media, since they were both motorcycle enthusiasts. According to a post on the college website, Talon Rodgers was given a scholarship in 2020 for his ‘meticulous work’ while pursuing an associate degree in diesel marine technician at Tidewater Community College.
A neighbor told the Virginian Pilot, “They were such good people. They were always together.” The homicide is still being investigated by police. The deaths, according to police, were not the result of a domestic disagreement. However, there has been no disclosure of a motive, no arrests have been made and no one has been named as a suspect in the couple's death by police.
