Spoiler alert for Season 2 Episode 11 of 'A Million Little Things' titled 'We're the Howards'

We had earlier predicted that Gary Mendez (James Roday) will get arrested after confronting Eric (Jason Ritter). We had predicted that the confrontation happened because Gary found out that Eric doesn't have Maggie's (Bloom, played by Allison Miller) brother's heart.

As it turns out, we were a tad wrong. Gary is arrested, but it is a direct result of his inability to control his raging temper than Eric calling the cops on him.

In Episode 11, Rome and Regina Howard (Romany Malco and Christina Moses) are making a video on themselves for their adoption process. The video is supposed to give prospective parents an insight into the life of the Howards and gauge if they would make good parents.

The Howards have spent a long time making a meticulous video, filming and re-filming to omit even the tiniest of glitches. And the video gets them to Sophie's (Lizzy Greene) baseball game.

So Sophie is hungover from her previous night of rebellion. And Rome just needs one good shot of her on his camera for their adoption video. Just as Sophie hits a good shot, a racist white father attacks Rome, snatching his camera and accusing him of taking pictures of their daughters.

Rome tries to explain himself, but before he could, Gary punches the racist. And that is how he is arrested; and with him, the cops take Rome too.

When detained, Rome chides Gary for his rash behavior. A lifetime full of keeping his head low had taught Rome how to avoid these situations, he tells Gary. And he would have gotten out of that situation had Gary not intervened. He goes on to warn Gary to not go down with the sinking ship — his anger.

Gary has been angry for the last three months — ever since his break up with Maggie. Everything seems to tick him off. For instance, in the previous episode, a man pulls a gun out on Gary when he yells at him for running a signal.

Philandering around Boston hasn't exactly helped. But when he finds out that Eric has a wrongful death lawsuit against him from Chloe Meyer's family, he is livid.

His hunch about the guy has been proved right so why wouldn't Maggie see Eric for who he is? Endangering Rome's adoption process might have given him the required shock to get a grip over his anger-driven actions.

'A Million Little Things' airs on ABC on Thursdays at 10/ 9c.
