'A Million Little Things' Season 2 Episode 18: If [spoiler] leaves the show, will Gary finally find new love?
Spoilers for 'A Million Little Things' Season 2 Episode 18 'Mothers and Daughters'
Fans have been on the fence about Gary Mendez (James Roday) and Maggie Bloom's (Allison Miller) break up. Some think it is just what Gary needed in his life to move on from Maggie while others think the two belong together, still hoping for their reconciliation.
There is also a section of fans who are simply tired of the makers dragging that plot. Some of them want the makers to get it over with already. With the introduction of a new character in Darcy (Floriana Lima), the makers might be giving Gary's fans what they have been asking for.
In a promo released for the upcoming episode titled 'Mothers and Daughters', Gary admits his feelings for Darcy. "I really like you," he says.
Darcy and Gary first met almost randomly when Gary was looking after Theo (Tristan Byon). The two hit it off immediately. It was also revealed that Maggie is most likely to take the Oxford offer and move to England, which could mean that she will be leaving the show.
According to the official synopsis of the episode, "Eddie becomes obsessed with trying to resolve mistakes from his past, and Shelly [Romy Rosemont] and Delilah both take on planning a baby shower for Regina as Eve gives her and Rome shocking news. Meanwhile, Maggie’s new venture has her rethinking her relationship with Gary."
We would be more than happy to see Gary move on from Maggie. In the last episode 'One Year Later', Gary apologized to Maggie for whatever he may have done wrong through their relationship — making amends for "a fresh start" with Darcy.
This looks like an exciting plot ahead for all characters involved. We only hope that the situation doesn't turn into a sorry love triangle. At this point, it seems like everyone else knows that Gary and Maggie somewhere still love each other, but the two of them are blissfully unaware of it.
If it were up to us, we'd have the duo remain unaware and move on with their lives already. 'A Million Little Things' airs on Thursdays at 10/ 9c on ABC.
