'A Dickens of a Holiday!': 5 things to know about Hallmark's Christmas romance
Hallmark is set to release a brand-new movie for its Countdown to Christmas special and this flick will incorporate Charles Dickens' book 'A Christmas Carol' to spin up Christmas magic with a dose of romance sprinkled into the mix.
'A Dickens of a Holiday!' will see Jake who has made a place for himself in Hollywood come back to his hometown where a surprising request awaits him. Cassie who is organizing a play faces a problem when the person who was supposed to play Scrooge loses his voice, but in a stroke of genius, she recruits Jake to take over and play the character. The two come together as the holiday brings them closer. Brooke D'Orsay is a Canadian actress whose first major role came in 2001 with the film 'Why Can't I Be a Movie Star? ' and since then has gone on to star in many different movies and shows. Her work includes 'Soul Food', 'Ace Lightning', 'Two and a Half Men', 'The Big Bang Theory' and more in which she appeared in a recurring and guest capacity. The actress has also lent her voice to projects and can be heard in the animated series '6teen'. D'Orsay has also previously starred in a few Hallmark movies and will be seen as the leading lady in 'A Dickens of a Holiday!'.
